Six Bays, Six Benches, No Learner Watching From The Door.

The name came from the first six training bays. Each is set up as a proper bench rather than a demonstration station, with screened arcs and instructor sight lines across the room.

Local extraction, screened arcs, hot metal bins and clear instructor sight lines are checked before the first machine is struck.

Equipment Specification

The Kit Is Ordinary In The Right Way.

  • MIG sets for foundation work, tack sequence and production-style repetition.
  • AC/DC TIG sets for stainless introductions and aluminium by prior arrangement.
  • MMA inverters for electrode selection, starts, restarts and positional practice.
  • Bench grinders, chop saw, pillar drill, clamps, squares and a coupon prep area.

Owner Detail

Booth 4 keeps the left-handed TIG torch because the gas line stops catching on the vice screw there.

Safety Procedure

Nobody Trains Without The Bay Rules.

  1. Induction.Fire exits, stop-work authority, first aid, hot metal handling and the sober fitness-to-work declaration.
  2. PPE Check.Helmet, eye protection, gauntlets and jacket are provided. Steel midsole boots must be brought by the learner.
  3. Extraction Check.Local extraction and screens are checked before welding starts.
  4. Hot Work Control.Hot metal bins, bench discipline and fire watch are part of the assessment culture, not a final reminder.
