Certification Statement

What The Academy Certificate Confirms.

It Confirms

The learner attended the named course, worked on the listed process and material, completed the assessment pieces and met the academy criteria recorded by the tutor.

It Does Not Claim

It is not structural sign-off, not approval for pressure-vessel, pipeline, underwater, railway aluminothermic or vehicle chassis work and not a guarantee of coded-weld approval. Foundry Six also does not train weapon fabrication, vehicle chassis alteration or unsafe repair advice.

Assessment Criteria

The Tutor Is Looking For More Than A Shiny Bead.

01

Joint Preparation

Fit-up, cleaning, edge condition, tack control and safe handling before welding starts.

02

Machine Setting

Voltage, amperage, wire feed, gas flow and polarity matched to the process and coupon.

03

Safety Conduct

PPE use, extraction checks, hot metal control, sober fitness-to-work declaration and stop-work response.

04

Penetration Indicators

Fusion at toe, root appearance where visible, section evidence and destructive bend where applicable.

05

Visual Acceptance

Undercut, overlap, porosity, crater cracks, profile and start-stop quality are recorded plainly.

06

Destructive Bend

Used where the course route calls for it and written as evidence rather than theatre.

Independent Coded-Test Route

BS EN ISO 9606-1 Preparation Without Overclaiming Approval.

For steel welder qualification routes, Foundry Six can prepare the bench, practise the joint, record the training conditions and arrange an independent examiner slot when the test type is agreed.

The examiner controls the formal test, documentation, pass or fail decision and any approval issue. The academy cannot soften the acceptance criteria and will not sell a guaranteed coded pass.

Pass, Fail And Resit Policy

The Examiner Decision Is Final.

  1. Pass.Examiner result is issued through the agreed route and attached to the learner record where applicable.
  2. Fail.Written feedback is issued so the learner knows whether the issue was preparation, fit-up, technique or inspection outcome.
  3. Resit.Resit bench time and any further examiner attendance are priced separately before booking.
